Staffing
The District employs 32 full time career firefighters that currently staff Station 44 (Wauna), Station 47 (Home) and Station 49 (Longbranch) 24 hours per day. There are also 3 Chief Officers that provide response assistance from Station 46 (Key Center) during the weekdays. Within this staff, there is a 24 hour per day Battalion Chief and Duty Chief.

The career firefighters work a 48/96 work schedule, while day staff works 40 hours per week. All career staff are represented by the International Association of Firefighters, Local 3152.

All of our career firefighters are either Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) or Paramedics (PMs). This allows the District to provide emergency medical services and medical transport to the community.

The District employs five additional personnel including a Fire Prevention Specialist, an Executive Assistant, an Administrative Assistant, and a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

In addition to our paid staff, the District enjoys a very robust volunteer firefighter program. The District typically has between 6-10 active volunteers. These volunteers supplement our paid staff on shift and with responses from home.
