This morning was the official kick off for the Santa season with the Santa Breakfast at the Key Center Fire Station co-hosted by Key Pen Parks and the Key Peninsula Volunteer Firefighters Association. We will begin our Santa Sleigh visits this evening starting off in the Lake Minterwood community. Please see other posts with the schedule and plan to come to one of those locations.
Now that we are in the Christmas season it is important to remember some of the basics in home safety. If you choose to have a live tree, make certain to keep it watered and check it daily. Place your tree away from any sources of heat to avoid drying it out and only use lights that are in good condition. Never overload an outlet and do not string multiple power strips together either.
Until next week!
